Of course, I say I'm back, but the truth is, I'm terrible at blogging. I need to do a bit better with this. I've never been a big writer and I'm definitely better at telling you all my stories in person than on paper. So this last year has brought about A LOT of changes for me. I did some extensive traveling in 2017, which I will eventually blog about, but more importantly I moved from Baltimore, Maryland to Juneau, Alaska. That's right, Alaska. The last frontier. The dream travel destination for so many people who love adventure, outdoor activities, and well snow. Thankfully, Juneau is located in the Tongass National Forest which is a rainforest so we get a lot more rain than snow. I've always said that I wanted to live in a place where you look one way and see mountains and look the other and see water and now I have it! Pictures simply do not do justice to how incredibly beautiful the scenery is here. Picture perfect views all the time! And I can't forget about the wildlife! Alaska is full of simply amazing creatures. In Juneau, we don't get too many moose or brown (grizzly) bears, but we have all the amazing marine life footsteps away and bald eagles over us constantly! We also have the "friendly" neighborhood black bears who just love to knock over the trash cans... Did I forget to mention whales? We have humpbacks and orcas coming through all the time! Check out this video of a humpback whale showing off his tail! Whale watching tours are one of the most popular tourist attractions in Juneau. So what do you think? Want to come visit? There are so many places to visit in Alaska and everywhere you go offers up breathtaking scenery and the most amazing experiences. If you are adventurous and outdoorsy, a trip to Alaska is a must. If you dream of seeing the Last Frontier, contact me and we will make it happen!

In world where everything is at your fingertips and technology is making it super easy to book travel, what would the need for a travel agent be?
I came across an article recently that outlined the benefits. Let's discuss this a bit more: 1) Travel agents make travel less stressful. Even if it is your 100th trip, sometimes you have a trip that becomes too much for one person to handle. A travel agent can take all the stress of planning a trip away from you. No one needs more stress in their life, let a professional do it for you. 2) They save you money and time. I get new promotions every day. You might have a dream trip, but can't seem to afford it. I might have gotten the deal of a lifetime. Don't waste your time scouring through websites to find the best deals. Let me do it for you. 3) They don’t charge hidden fees. Every time you book something within the industry, a commission is already built into the cost. I don't add an additional commission on to any type of travel that is booked through a travel supplier. 4) They advocate on your behalf. If something goes wrong, I will be there for you. You will have someone to advocate for you and ensure that you are left satisfied. 5) They provide personalized attention. Everything we do for you is individualized. I cater to all your needs and wants and will make sure that you get what you want. 6) They offer insurance. Perhaps one of the most important, yet overlooked items in travel is travel insurance. Travel insurance products now are so comprehensive that all travelers should buy travel insurance every time they take a trip. This way you can rest assured that you are covered in the case of an emergency. 7) They’re there 24/7. You might be on the other side of the world, but I am here for you no matter what time or time zone you are in. 8) They’re specialists. I specialize in anywhere that is considered off the beaten track. I love helping to plan individual trips, especially for single women travelers. Don't worry if you have an idea that you might think isn't off the beaten track (Hello Disney!), I will still be able to help you out. Just send me a message and let's get started! |
